Meet the Doctor

Education & Experience

Dr. Grimm graduated from the University of Detroit in 1990 with honors. During his time at school, he joined the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. The fraternity was started in 1892 by William Sprigg Hamilton, with the objective of maintaining and advancing the high standards of dentistry by instilling within its members fraternal cooperation.

Dr. Grimm went on to do an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in the United States Air Force. The Advanced Education in General Dentistry program provides advanced training in all specialties of dentistry, including periodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more. This program is designed to help enhance the skills of recent graduates and provide them with a deeper understanding of specialty dental care. The AEGD program has made Dr. Grimm better prepared when evaluating the oral health needs of his patients and has allowed him to provide a full range of general dental care.

After completing the AEGD residency, Dr. Grimm served in the Dental Corps for two years at Wurtsmith Air Force Base.

Upon leaving the Air Force, Dr. Grimm began to practice in the Triad, where he built two practices before opening his own practice in 2001. Dr. Grimm is currently an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Forsyth County Dental Society, and the ADA. Dr. Grimm believes in giving back to the community and currently volunteers with Missions of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, international medical mission trips, the North Carolina Baptist Men’s Bus, the Shepherd’s Center, and the Community Care Center. Dr. Grimm engages constantly in continuing education through study and internships through the New York University programs and through the Spear Continuum to better serve the community and his patients.

Awards

The National Consumer Advisory Board selected Dr. Grimm as one of “America’s Best Dentists” in 2018. Organizations such as the American Institute of Dental Professionals and Leading Physicians of the World have nominated and awarded Dr. Grimm several times as one of the Top Dentists in General and Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Grimm was also awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service in October 1992 at the Rank of Captain in the United States Air Force.
